A man who opened fire on Sacramento County sheriff’s deputies while fleeing a domestic violence call early Monday took his own life hours later, authorities said.
The unidentified individual shot themselves once just after 6 a.m. near Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and 47th Avenue in the Lemon Hill neighborhood, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies had deployed flash bangs and less-lethal rounds moments before the self-inflicted gunshot.
