BRUNSWICK COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) – The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) is urging residents to be aware of scams as they shop online on Cyber Monday.
BCSO shared some tips to prevent scammers and thieves from stealing from you:
- Lock up your logins.
- Use strong passwords.
- Only buy from trusted websites.
- Track packages.
- Sign up for delivery alerts and bring packages inside immediately.
- Beware of urgent messages asking for personal information.
- Keep device software updated.
