MARION, Iowa — Snow removal operations are scheduled to take place overnight in the Uptown Marion area beginning early Tuesday, Dec. 2.
City crews will start work at 2 a.m. Tuesday to clear snow from 6th, 7th and 8th avenues, as well as connecting areas between 9th and 13th streets. Crews will also remove accumulated snow piles in city-owned parking lots.
To facilitate the clearing, all on-street parking is prohibited in this section of Marion starting at 2 a.m. Tuesday. Temporary signs have been posted. The public is also advised not to park near large snow piles to give crews adequate room to operate…
