Police warn the public to stay away from historic landmark in Houston suburb. Here’s why

SUGAR LAND, Texas — Sugar Land police are warning residents to stay out of the Imperial Sugar Char House and nearby Lake Pointe structures on Fluor Daniel Drive, calling the aging buildings dangerous and closed to the public.

In a social post this morning, the department emphasized that security cameras have already recorded trespassers, and officers will be dispatched anytime unauthorized entry is detected.

“We know these structures draw curiosity, but they are not safe to enter. Please do not enter these buildings or fenced areas. Your safety comes first,” Sugar Land police said.
