BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – A 27-year-old man from Mexico was sentenced to 24 months in prison for illegally re-entering the United States after deportation, according to U.S. Attorney Prim F. Escalona.
U.S. District Judge Liles C. Burke sentenced Cristofer Ruben Pecero-Ramirez after he pleaded guilty to illegal re-entry to the United States following deportation, the Northern District of Alabama’s United States Attorney’s office said.
Court documents show Pecero-Ramirez was originally removed from the U.S. on Aug. 12, 2024. Just 11 days later, on Aug. 26, 2024, he was found again in the U.S. and removed a second time…
