Habitat for Humanity breaks ground on nine-unit housing initiative

Habitat for Humanity broke ground last week on a special nine-unit housing initiative called Pope Leo Village in the Botany Hills neighborhood of Covington, just north of Devou Park.

Eight of the homes will be located on John Street, and the other will be located on Parkway Avenue. All of the lots will be infill lots where historic properties once stood.

“I truly believe that the gift that we received when we took our leap of faith here in Covington was the Holy Spirit sending us a message,” said Joe Hansbauer, CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Cincinnati. “Today is just the start of what becomes possible when one person is inspired. Their action can spark a movement that builds momentum and changes lives.”
