HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced that all eleven counties in District 2, including Christian County, are making preparations for the arrival of a predicted winter weather expected to move through the region.
Pretreating activities began on Friday on state roads, according to a news release from KYTC. On Tuesday, they will continue to treat main routes with salt, and additional routes will be assessed depending on the conditions. Crews will remain on-call throughout the night to respond if and when they are needed with snowplows.
“Weather and roadway conditions can change fast,” said KYTC. “If you encounter a snowplow, please allow them plenty of room to safely work and remember that they may be moving slower than other traffic on the road.”…
