Man charged for hit-and-run incident that hospitalized three people

One man now faces nearly a dozen charges after allegedly hitting three pedestrians in downtown Erie.

According to the Erie Police Department, 23-year-old Davine Warren has been charged after reportedly being involved in a hit-and-run incident that sent three people, including a pregnant woman, to the hospital.

Police originally reported that incident on Friday, November 21, around 10 p.m., where officers claimed that Warren struck two pedestrians in a crosswalk while turning northbound onto State Street, and later hit a third person when they tried to stop Warren from fleeing the scene.

Warren now faces the following charges:

  • Three counts of accidents involving death or personal injury
  • Three counts of accidents involving death or personal injury while not properly licensed
  • One count of reckless driving
  • One count of duty to give information and render aid
  • One count of right-of-way to pedestrians
  • One count of driving while license suspended-DUI related
  • One count of required financial responsibility (insurance)

The information as to when Warren is set to appear in court has not yet been released…
