Two young professionals, who are also medical students, are planning to move to Chapel Hill, North Carolina, next summer. They are currently residing in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and have visited North Carolina several times. They have family in Charlotte, which they appreciate for its proximity and support. They recently visited Chapel Hill to get a feel of the town and found it to be a friendly place with a lot to do. However, they are concerned about the expensive housing market, especially as they are already financially stretched. They are considering living slightly further away and commuting to school/work. They are also curious about how older students fit into a college town heavily populated by younger undergraduates. They have heard that many young professionals live in Carrboro and are interested in hearing about others’ experiences. Both are outgoing and social, and they enjoy experiencing new cultures, traveling, meeting new people, and outdoor activities.
