Deputies Issue Warrant Following 2023 Investigation; Brocton Man Taken Into Custody in 2025
(WNY News Now) – The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Brocton man in connection with a 2023 burglary in the Village of Mayville that involved the theft of a moped from a storage shed.
Deputies responded to the incident on November 18, 2023, at approximately 5:09 p.m. After gathering evidence at the scene, investigators identified James D. Mawhir, 36, of Brocton, as a suspect.
