A 59-year-old man accused of raping a man with disabilities remained in the Broward County Main Jail Sunday after a judge denied him bond.
Paul John was arrested Thursday by Fort Lauderdale police and appeared in court wearing a suicide prevention vest.
According to police records, the victim went to Imperial Point Hospital on December 8, 2024, reporting pain after the alleged assault. Investigators said the victim had been walking to a Walgreens on December 6 when John, driving a Chevrolet Camaro, approached him and offered a job.
