Latest round of snow causing road conditions in central Indiana to deteriorate

INDIANAPOLIS — For the second time in three days, snow is causing road conditions in central Indiana to deteriorate.

Starting around 5 p.m., reports of poor road conditions began to be made by public information officers with Indiana State Police’s Putnamville and Indianapolis districts. The Boone County Sheriff’s Office and West Lafayette Police Department also reported that road conditions in their jurisdictions were deteriorating.

At 4:46 p.m., Matt Ames with ISP’s Putnamville district indicated that troopers were already responding to crashes on Interstate 70. John Perrine with ISP in Indianapolis also released a video encouraging drivers to exercise caution as snow had caused multiple crashes on interstates across the Indianapolis metro area…
