JSO: 18-year-old who broke up fight at Burger King was shot while raising hands in the air

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – More details are emerging about the events that led to the deadly shooting of an 18-year-old employee at a Burger King on the Westside.

According to an arrest report obtained by News4JAX, the accused shooter, identified as 28-year-old Dawud Burritt, was at the Burger King when 33-year-old Ray Cummings, a former friend and restaurant employee, approached him.

Cummings, who was wounded in the shooting, was interviewed by police at Orange Park Medical Center, according to the report…
