On Sunday evening, the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety (KDPS) responded to a shooting in the 1200 block of Douglas Avenue. Officers arrived at about 5:30 p.m. and found a 49-year-old man with a gunshot wound. A 60-year-old man, identified as the shooter, stayed at the scene and spoke with police.
Investigators said the 60-year-old was returning a ladder to a nearby home when the 49-year-old confronted him with a snow shovel and told him to leave.
