Montgomery opens $900,000 pickleball court complex at public park

Montgomery residents have new recreational opportunities at the city’s newest pickleball courts.

Pickleball is the latest athletic trend to take the nation by storm, with older crowds and Generation Z young adults alike looking to play. Casual, leisurely participation in the sport has grown more than 150% nationally over the past three years, according to the city.

The new complex, located at 8700 Minnie Brown Road in Dean Fain Park, features 12 new professional-grade courts. The $900,000 project has been under construction since early March.
