Stonecrester goes berserk when informed of delay of medical treatment

A Stonecrester was arrested after he went berserk when he was informed of a delay of a scheduled medical treatment.

Robert John Rizzo, 74, who lives in the 55+ community in Summerfield, went to an appointment Saturday at Premier Medical Associates Pain Management at 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd. in The Villages, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

Rizzo became enraged because a piece of medical equipment was not working and his treatment could not be performed. The report noted that Rizzo had been contacted the previous day and was told the equipment was not working.

Rizzo began following a staffer at the medical office, demanding that he receive treatment. He was “irate,” argued with staffers and ordered his wife to take photos of the personnel. One of the staffers raised her arm to cover her face when Rizzo’s wife pointed the camera at her, prompting Rizzo to grab the woman’s arm and force it down…
