City may spend $245,725 on security cameras at key Ocala facilities

The city is looking to spend $245,725 on new and replacement security cameras and CCTV equipment to improve physical security controls at several key facilities around Ocala.

The purchase will be reviewed by the Ocala City Council during its regular meeting on Tuesday, December 2.

Last year, the city conducted physical security assessments and audits to identify gaps and deficiencies in the controls established at key facilities throughout Ocala. Several of the facilities also experienced previous security incidents that the city says underscores the “necessity for additional physical security controls.”…
