Man reported missing in North Sacramento injured after being struck by car

A 61-year-old man reported missing Saturday morning in North Sacramento was later identified as the pedestrian critically injured in a vehicle collision Friday night, according to Sacramento police.

David Zoellner, who has medical and mental health conditions and had been considered at-risk, was reported missing around 8 a.m. Saturday near the 3000 block of Marysville Boulevard in the Hagginwood neighborhood.

Police confirmed Sunday evening that Zoellner had been located and transported to a hospital after being struck by a vehicle around 9:30 p.m. Friday near Rio Linda Boulevard and Ford Road. He remained in critical but stable condition, authorities said…
