In a tragic turn of events, a man involved in a domestic violence incident ended his own life after a prolonged standoff with law enforcement near 47th Ave and MLK. The incident began with the man firing two rounds towards officers, fortunately causing no injuries. He then climbed a tree in a vacant lot and contacted 911, repeatedly stating his intention to commit suicide. Despite hours of dialogue and attempts to subdue him with less-lethal ammunition, the man ultimately shot himself and was pronounced dead at the scene…
