Syracuse man gets 40 years to life after 2nd murder trial: ‘It’s been a nightmare, not once, twice’

Syracuse, N.Y. – A man who was sentenced to 40 years to life in prison in 2021 for a murder in Syracuse was given the same sentence Monday after he was found guilty a second time.

His first conviction was overturned in 2024 because a potential juror had nodded his head instead of giving verbal confirmation that he could remain unbiased.
