Millie Bobby Brown Embraces New Chapter, Adopts Husband Jake Bongiovi’s Last Name
In a recent interview, “Stranger Things” star Millie Bobby Brown, who tied the knot with Jake Bongiovi earlier this year, revealed she has officially changed her last name. The actress, 21, shared that she has adopted her husband’s surname, now going by Millie Bonnie Bongiovi.
During an interview with VT alongside costar Noah Schnapp, Brown clarified her new moniker. When Schnapp jokingly suggested her full name was “Millie Bonnie Bobby Brown Bongiovi,” Brown playfully corrected him, stating, “It’s just Millie Bonnie Bongiovi, that’s it. Millie Bon Bon.”
It remains to be seen whether Brown will incorporate this change into her professional career, as many celebrities maintain their stage names even after legally changing their personal names.
The couple, who wed in a private ceremony in May 2024, recently expanded their family by adopting a daughter in August. Schnapp holds the honorable role of godfather to their new arrival.
While generally private about her personal life, Brown has shared a few sweet details about her nuptials to Bongiovi, 23, the son of rock icon Jon Bon Jovi. On a November 26 episode of the “Dish” food podcast, she recounted a memorable wedding moment.
“When Jake proposed, I was like, ‘We have to learn a dance routine. We’ll remember it forever, and when the song comes on when we’re 80, we’ll remember it,” she shared.
“It’s going to be so special.'” Brown ruled out a “Dirty Dancing” routine due to the pressure, explaining, “I was like ‘Oh my God, if you get that lift wrong,’ it was too much.”
Instead, the couple opted for a more elaborate routine inspired by Brown’s favorite film, “Grease 2.”
