Another Nebraska shakeup as recruiting staffer exits the program

It turns out that John Butler isn’t the only member of the Nebraska football program no longer employed by the Huskers. Troy Vincent Jr., who has been with head coach Matt Rhule since his arrival in Lincoln is leaving to take another job.

Vincent was in his third season at Nebraska overall, but his first in the role of Director of Player Personnel. He was hired at Nebraska in Matt Rhule’s first year with the program, before the 2023 season as a special teams analyst, directly assisting then-special teams coordinator Ed Foley. In 2024, he moved to an off-field role, named Director of Football Relations, and then took over the role of Director of Player Personnel last offseason.

Vincent’s most significant role with Nebraska in his most recent position was as the Huskers’ high school and NFL liaison.
