NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – Family trips to the Audubon Nature Institute just got significantly more expensive after membership prices nearly doubled overnight, leaving longtime supporters scrambling to afford what used to be a holiday tradition.
The Olsen family discovered the dramatic price increase during the busiest shopping week of the year while hunting for their usual holiday deal. For the past decade, Chris and Megan Olsen bought discounted Audubon memberships during the annual holiday sale, saving money every year as a family of five.
