AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Texas Department of Transportation’s Amarillo District released its “Know Before You Go” report on lane closures for this week.
According to TxDOT, road closures and detours expected throughout this week include:
Monday,
- The southbound lane of RM 1061 will be closed from just south of Bushland Road for patching operations.
- Beginning at 7 p.m., both directions of I-27 near Country Club/Buffalo Stadium Road will be closed as crews begin bridge demolition operations.
- Northbound I-27 traffic can take the Country Club Road exit and continue north on the frontage road to the next I-27 entrance ramp.
- Southbound I-27 traffic can take the Country Club Road/Buffalo Stadium Road exit ramp.
- They can then turn left to cross the Country Club Road/Buffalo Stadium Road bridge before taking another left to stay on the frontage road.
- The work is expected to be completed by Thursday, Dec. 4.
Friday,
- The center lane of westbound I-40 at the US 287 split will be closed for concrete repair operations. The work is expected to be completed by Friday, Dec. 12. Traffic will be diverted to the I-40 frontage road during this time.
Throughout the week,
- The left lane of westbound I-40 from Coulter Street to Helium Road will be closed for mill and fill operations.
