Human Services Secretary Rafael López had already “taken full responsibility” when he was charged with driving under the influence earlier this year in Washington, D.C. He made it official Monday, pleading guilty in D.C. Superior Court in a deal that could get the charge dismissed a year from now.
“I have accepted responsibility and am accountable for my actions,” López said in a written statement Monday. “On the advice of counsel, I will not comment further on legal proceedings at this time. I appreciate the support I have received from family, friends, and colleagues.”…
