Augusta commissioners return to table to confront budget deficit

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) — Augusta Commission members reconvene this morning to deal with a $21 million deficit they’ve failed to resolve as they face a deadline to approve next year’s budget.

They had intended to confront the deficit and pass a budget last week, but ultimately decided to put it off until today.
