CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – Good morning. Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the region until noon. A mix of snow showers, sleet, freezing rain, and eventually rain will blanket the area. Allow extra time for your morning commute. Be careful approaching bridges, overpasses, secondary roads and untreated surfaces. The storm is a fast mover, and we expect conditions to dry this afternoon. A few breaks of sun may be possible later. Sunshine and chilly temperatures return Wednesday.
