Adopt-A-Pallet program helping Columbia residents find stability, housing

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – Columbia is asking for the community’s support to expand its Adopt-A-Pallet program, which funds tiny-home shelters at Rapid Shelter Columbia. The site includes 50 pallet-style units, and so far, 26 have been adopted by groups and organizations across the Midlands.

Rapid Shelter Columbia has been operating for three years, but the Adopt-A-Pallet initiative launched just over a year ago. Coordinators and residents say the program makes a significant difference, especially during colder months when temperatures drop.
