Sudden loss care team being developed for New Yorkers impacted by suicide

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — Tina Morgan crochets hats to keep people in need warm in the winter and come January, she plans to be part of Chautauqua County’s Sudden Loss Care Team.

“Available to people who have had a sudden loss. It’s just about having some people available to speak to someone who has suffered a loss by suicide,” Morgan said.

The volunteer team would join first responders on scene to provide immediate support for families of those who take their own life…
