HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – The Land Trust of North Alabama announced on Tuesday that it reached a $300,000 fundraising goal to acquire a 65-acre property on Green Mountain.
With the acquisition, the land will now be permanently protected, creating a connection with the Land Trust’s expanding River to Gap corridor.
The newly-acquired land links two existing Land Trust Parcels, strengthens wildlife habitat, and protects water resources.
“This achievement reflects the incredible passion our community has for protecting North Alabama’s natural spaces,” said Hallie Porter, Development Director for LTNA. “Every contribution, large or small, helped ensure that this land will remain wild, connected, and accessible for generations. We are deeply grateful for everyone who stepped forward to make this possible.”…
