Loss prevention catches woman with $67 in stolen items at Walmart

A Clermont woman was arrested for theft after leaving Walmart with $67 in stolen items.

A loss prevention employee of Walmart, located at 550 U.S. Hwy. 27, Clermont, saw 28-year-old Alize Maria Soto miss scanning several items around 3:50 p.m. Monday, Nov. 24, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

When she passed all points of sale, she was stopped outside the store and brought to the loss prevention office. The employee totaled the amount of mis-scanned items to $67.91. Soto later advised that she thought she scanned everything and apologized for the incident, the report said…
