‘That’s the magical part about it, seeing everybody smile’ | Holiday Festival of Lights illuminates for 27th year

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – The Christmas lights at the Cove in Concord Park are a staple of West Knoxville every year, and on the first day of December, they flickered on once again.

“It just keeps on getting bigger and bigger and bigger,” Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs said. “It’s not only great to see the holiday spirit but also to see people come out and help their neighbors that are in need.”

However, it’s something different this year that park organizers are highlighting: the 27 years the festival has taken place…
