A man has been charged with the murder of his girlfriend’s co-worker on Thanksgiving Day in Maitland, turning what should have been a festive holiday into a day of tragedy. According to ClickOrlando, 31-year-old Jon Christopher Fuller is accused of shooting 28-year-old Cameron Hoilette at the apartment where the victim was getting his hair braided by Fuller’s girlfriend, Nila Lindsey.
The Maitland Police Department responded to the Summit Centre Way residence at approximately 12:15 p.m., where they found Hoilette fatally wounded. Attempting to save Hoilette, first responders gave CPR until he was pronounced dead 15 minutes later at the scene. The arrest affidavit notes that a spent shell casing was discovered near the fallen man’s body.
Fuller’s appearance at the apartment was unwelcome, a sentiment expressed by Lindsey, who told Fuller not to visit when he called her the day before the incident. Showing up anyway, Fuller was confronted by Hoilette, who offered to leave the tense situation.
