The developers behind the City of Ocoee’s huge Dynasty sports complex say they’ve cleared environmental and permitting hurdles and are ready to break ground on the $1 billion project, which is expected to create about 5,000 jobs.
Montierre Development will soon begin work on The Dynasty Ocoee, a sprawling, 159-acre youth sports and entertainment complex. It is located near the southeast corner of Fullers Cross Road and Ocoee-Apopka Road and consists of previously undeveloped land. Ocoee is in Central Florida, just west of Orlando.
The Dynasty was conceptualized as a walkable campus with an all-in-one approach. Developers plan both indoor and outdoor sports venues, shopping, restaurants, and lodging offerings. Plans also involve a 150,000-square-foot indoor sports facility equipped with advanced simulation technology, as well as health data-tracking workout equipment. Seventeen multipurpose fields are included, supporting baseball, football, soccer, lacrosse, and track and field.
