A Cabot native is making an impact on naval aviation as the U.S. Navy marks its 250th birthday. Lt. Glenn Hill, a 2013 Cabot High School graduate, serves with Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 3 (HSC 3) at Naval Air Station North Island in San Diego, where he trains pilots and aircrew to fly the Navy’s MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter.
Hill, who later earned a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University, credits his Arkansas upbringing for shaping his character. “Growing up on a farm taught me work ethic and resilience,” Hill said. “Those values prepared me for the Navy.”
Hill joined the Navy eight years ago to fly, serve his country and see the world. His achievements include serving in key leadership roles, flying medevac missions around the globe, and earning the Carrier Air Wing Five Top Rotary Wing Pilot award.
Now an instructor pilot, Hill helps prepare future naval aviators for missions ranging from combat search and rescue to airborne mine countermeasures. “This position challenges me every day to be a better person and a better instructor,” he said…
