TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Cities in the Tampa Bay area are facing a drought after an abnormally dry year.
“Just a rain shower here and there is not going to help us recover that 13-inch deficit that has accrued over the whole year,” said Tamera McBride with Southwest Florida Water Management. “Since hurricane Milton we’ve had below-average rainfall except for the month of May.”
