Clouds will thicken tonight ahead of our first widespread winter storm Tuesday. Lows will be in the teens and low 20s. Area-wide snow arrives very early Tuesday morning (pre-dawn) and continues into the early afternoon before tapering to scattered snow showers. New York’s schools are seeing more student engagement and increased teaching efficiency as a result of the state’s new bell-to-bell ban on cell phones in the classroom, according to a survey released Monday by Gov. Kathy Hochul’s office.
