The former location of Armadillo Willy’s on Blossom Hill is set to re-open as “Empire Armadillo BBQ & Deli”. The grand opening is scheduled for Thursday, December 4th with a few specials and events lined up. The first 50 customers at lunch and dinner will receive a free side, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned for around 4:30/5PM. The menu will feature many of the same Texas BBQ dishes from Armadillo Willy’s, but with the addition of a NYC deli menu, including home-made Reubens, pastrami, and fresh dip. The new establishment is the brainchild of John and his business partner Ousmane, who previously worked at the first Magnolia Bakery in NYC. They have already opened a similar establishment in Sunnyvale and have used customer feedback to improve the menu and customer service. The new location is at 878 Blossom Hill Road, San Jose, and will be open every day from 11AM-8PM starting on December 4th. More details here…
