Texas bathroom bill sparks debate over privacy and discrimination

El Paso, TX (KFOX14/CBS4) — The Texas Women’s Privacy Act, also known as SB8, is set to take effect on Thursday, Dec. 4.

The law mandates that all public institutions, including schools, universities, and government buildings, ensure individuals use restrooms corresponding to the sex listed on their birth certificate.
