WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Texas — A Conroe woman was sentenced to 40 years in prison after pleading guilty to charges stemming from a drunk driving crash that killed two of her children and seriously injured another, the Williamson County District Attorney’s Office said.
Christina Michelle Hejl, 36, pleaded guilty to two counts of intoxication manslaughter, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon causing serious bodily injury and two counts of endangering a child. She must serve at least half of her sentence before becoming eligible for parole.
Authorities said Hejl was driving with her five children on FM 1331 in Williamson County in March when she drove off the roadway, causing the minivan to roll several times. Two boys, ages 8 and 11, were ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.
