Aurora police officer fired after domestic violence arrest

An Aurora police officer was fired Monday after being arrested last week following a domestic violence incident, according to an Aurora Police Department news release.

Former Ofc. Philip Sullivan was arrested Wednesday night at his home in Westminster on misdemeanor charges of third-degree assault, harassment, obstruction, resisting arrest, failing to leave a premise and prohibited use of a weapon, the release said.
