SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane Arts Grant Awards (SAGA) announced funding for eight new art projects and programs in the Inland Northwest. The nonprofit says grants totaling more than $50,000 will support art projects carried out over the next year in the region.
According to a press release from SAGA, two of the eight funded projects will raise awareness about local Holocaust survivor Carla Peperzak. The press release also says local filmmaker Clementine Lye will break the documentary about Peperzak’s life, Carla the Rescuer, into a more manageable length for high-school and middle-school classroom periods.
