YPSILANTI TWP., MI — Ypsilanti Township is asking the state government to take back a $100 million grant from the University of Michigan, saying the school pulled a “bait and switch” about a proposed data center.
“You have to have a place for (data centers), but putting it on farmland, putting it on the banks of the Huron River is disgusting,” Brenda Stumbo, township supervisor, said during a township board meeting Tuesday, Dec. 2.
