Delano dealer sentenced for distributing fentanyl, DOJ says

DELANO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A Delano drug dealer was sentenced Monday for selling fentanyl pills.

According to the DOJ, 45-year-old Omar Vayas Duran of Delano was sentenced to six years and eight months in prison for conspiracy to distribute fentanyl and possession with intent to distribute fentanyl.

The DOJ says the crimes took place between Sept. 23, 2020, and June 29, 2021, when Duran conspired with 31-year-old Jesus Manuel Morfin Villa of Delano and others to acquire and distribute fentanyl…
