Asheville, NC – Drivers traveling through the higher elevations along the North Carolina–Tennessee border are being urged to use caution tonight as black ice and freezing fog create potentially hazardous conditions through Wednesday morning.
According to the National Weather Service Greenville-Spartanburg, light snow lingering in the region this evening will taper off across the NC/TN border area, but temperatures falling into the 20s overnight will allow slick spots to rapidly develop.
