Sewer construction and repair work has begun in Buffalo’s Fruit Belt neighborhood, the Buffalo Sewer Authority announced Monday.
Work includes pipe cleaning, video inspections, repairs to existing sewers, replacement of private and public sewer lines and installation of new sewer lines.
“A key component of Buffalo Sewer’s ongoing mission is updating and improving the sewer infrastructure in neighborhoods that have been neglected for decades,” said Rosaleen Nogle, PE, BCEE, BC.WRE, principal sanitary engineer, Buffalo Sewer Authority. “We are especially proud to be able to use ultraviolet cured-in-place pipe technology to line rather than replace old pipes to create renewed infrastructure with minimized impacts on our neighbors.”…
