Eddie Buffaloe joins Raleigh Police Dept.

RALEIGH – A veteran law enforcement official from Northampton County has joined the Raleigh Police Department.

It was announced last week that Eddie Buffaloe Jr., a native of Potecasi, has joined the Raleigh PD as the new Deputy Chief for the Administrative Services Division.

Buffaloe comes to the Raleigh Police from the North Carolina Department of Public Safety where he most recently served as Secretary. In that position, he managed the activities of over 21,000 sworn law enforcement and civilian employees, as well as more than 13,000 soldiers and airmen in the North Carolina National Guard. The department is responsible for juvenile justice and delinquency prevention, Alcohol Law Enforcement, the Office of Violence Prevention, Homeland Security, and Emergency Management, which includes its extensive response to Hurricane Helene in 2024…
