SALEM, Ala. (WRBL) — The Lee County Sheriff’s Office has launched a death investigation after human remains were discovered early Tuesday morning, Dec. 2, at a home in Salem.
Family members requested a welfare check after not hearing from their loved one in several weeks. When deputies arrived, they discovered the remains in the front yard of the property near the intersection of Lee Roads 240 and 179.
An autopsy is scheduled, and investigators have not yet determined the cause or manner of death…
