Erie Afghan community speaks out after shooting of two National Guards

The Erie Afghan community has released a statement regarding the shooting of two National Guards in Washington, D.C.

It reads:

“The Afghan Community of Erie, Pennsylvania strongly condemns the unacceptable and tragic crime allegedly committed by an Afghan national, Rahmanullah Lakanwal. On behalf of the 207 Afghan families living in Erie, we pray for the quick and full recovery of the two injured National Guardsmen, and we extend our heartfelt support to them and their families.
