KALAMAZOO, Mich. — An upcoming Kalamazoo thrift store designed to create employment opportunities for people with disabilities announced they will start accepting donations this week ahead of their January opening.
ThriftAbility, operated by MRC Industries, will officially open its doors at 5309 Gull Rd. on Jan. 12, 2026. It will offer affordable clothing, home goods, décor, and other “unique finds,” according to organizers.
Ahead of opening day, organizers are inviting the community to drop off donations from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday.
